U.S. Exchange Program Alumni
Alumni - Got a great idea to reach out to your colleagues to make a difference? Send us your ideas by January 25, and the best one could get funded
Dear U.S. Exchange Program Alumni
In our effort to stay connected with you and support your work in your various fields, we would like to present you with a unique opportunity.
U.S. Embassy and the U.S. Department of State would like to assist you in building on the concepts and ideas explored during your U.S. exchange program by funding an alumni program that you will get to create in collaboration with us.
We are reaching out to you to send us ideas for such a program. We will present the best idea to the U.S. Department of State, and proposal could receive up to $20,000, pending availability of funds.
Your proposals would be strongest if they include one or more of the following:
1) Implementation and sharing of concepts explored during exchange programs
2) Training that will improve ability of alumni to implement a particular area of focus
3) Expanding outreach and awareness of priority issues to a wider audience
Programs in the following areas are especially welcome:
- Youth leadership
- Economic opportunity, prosperity, and entrepreneurship
- Women's empowerment;
- Promoting a better environment
- Democracy and human rights
- Strengthening English language abilities to increase access to opportunities
- Outreach to marginalized communities
Proposals that include cost-sharing with particular attention to partnerships between NGOs, private sector, and US Embassy would be considered of higher quality.
Please send us one paragraph describing a program you would like to create. The best idea will have a chance of winning up to $20,000 in funding and help us strengthen our partnership with our alumni network.
