APPOINTMENTS

PLEASE NOTE:  If you are feeling unwell or are exhibiting flu-like symptoms on the day of your appointment, please do not come to the American Citizen Services Unit for your appointment.  Instead, please contact us by email at AMCTelAviv@state.gov and we will be happy to reschedule your appointment.  To protect the health of our employees and fellow American citizens, if you do come to our office and you are exhibiting signs that you are ill, you may be asked to leave and reschedule your appointment.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Every individual seeking services needs an appointment (except for special situations described at the bottom of this page).  This means that if there is a family where TWO children need reports of birth, ONE child needs a passport, and TWO adults need passports, the family needs to make FIVE SEPARATE appointments.  We will only serve those individuals with appointments.

NOTICE:  Applicants residing in the municipality of Jerusalem, in the West Bank, or in Gaza who come to the American Citizen Services Unit in Tel Aviv without an appointment will be instructed to seek services at the U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem.

If you reside outside Tel Aviv’s Consular District in the municipality of Jerusalem, in the West Bank, or in Gaza, you should make your appointment at the U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem.  To do so, please go to: http://jerusalem.usconsulate.gov/appointment2.html

To schedule an appointment at the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv, please schedule an appointment by following these directions:

  1. Look on our website for the service you seek. Pay close attention to what documents are required.
  2. Click on this link for reports of birth or passports services
Click on this link for notarial services
  3. Follow the directions given at the above sites for making an appointment (or appointments). Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your EARLIEST SCHEDULED appointment to allow time for security screening.  All required forms are available on this site and should be printed out and completed prior to your arrival.  If you need to fill out forms once you are here, you should arrive more than 30 minutes prior to your appointment.   It is very important that you review our website for what is required for the particular service you are requesting.  If your application is incomplete, you will have to reschedule another appointment through our website.  NOTE:  Effective April 1, 2008, applicants for Consular Reports of Birth Abroad (CRBA) MUST bring in their own photocopies of supporting documents, along with the originals.  Bring copies and the originals of:  photo identification of the mother and father; the parents' marriage certificate; any previous divorce or death certificates for the parents, if applicable; and the child's birth certificate.  Applicants who do not have photocopies will be charged at the rate of US $ 1 (one dollar) per page.
  4. Fee amounts can be found at the links in 2., above.  If you choose to pay in U.S. Dollars, please have the exact amount.  We do not accept pennies.
