diplomatic and official visas

Travelers who are official representatives of the following entities should consult with their administrative offices when seeking to obtain a visa:

•   the Israeli government;
•   recognized international organizations, such as the IMF, World Bank, or United Nations; or
•   Embassies or Consulates located in Israel;

You will require an A visa, a G visa, or a C-3 visa to enter the United States, depending on your position and the purpose of your travel to the United States.  You are not required to appear at the Embassy for an interview.

A, G, and C3 applicants are exempt from paying the MRV fee.  Holders of diplomatic passports traveling for other than official travel might be exempt from the MRV fee.  Please have your administrative office contact the U.S. Embassy with questions.

Officials without diplomatic passports who are not traveling on official business must pay the MRV fee and schedule an appointment for an interview.  See the page on Visitor B1/B2 visas for more information.
