Nonimmigrant VisasThe following provides information on visa requirements for travelers who wish to visit, work, or study for a temporary period in the United States. The type of visa required will depend on the purpose of your travel. Please note that a visa is not a guarantee of entry into the U.S. An immigration officer at the port of entry determines whether or not you may enter and your authorized duration of stay. How to ApplyNonimmigrant visa applicants aged 14 to 79 (under age 80) are required to schedule an appointment for an interview with a U.S. consular officer. Interviews are by appointment only and can be scheduled on line at http://VisaInfo.US-Visaservices.com or by contacting the call center at 180-931-5642. The Embassy does not accept walk-in applications. Follow this link for more information on how to apply. Applicants younger than 14 and older than 80 can submit their passports, applications, photos, post office receipts showing evidence of payment of the processing fee (Machine Readable Visa fee), and supporting documents through HaDoar, the Israel Post. Follow this link for more information on how to apply. Who Needs to Apply All Israeli citizens are required to have a valid visa to enter the United States, regardless of age. If you hold the passport of another country, you may not need a visa for short visits for tourism or business to the United States. Follow this link Visa Waiver to see if you are eligible to travel to the United States without a visa on another passport. Where to Apply Residents of Israel will need to apply at the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv. Residents of Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip need to apply at the U.S. Consulate in Jerusalem. |
