Additional processing
In most cases, a consular officer will tell you at the time of your interview whether the Embassy has approved your visa application. However, some applications require additional information and administrative processing.
- Predicting the length of administrative processing is not possible. Rest assured the Embassy will contact you when the Consular Section completes your case’s administrative processing.
- U.S. visa laws and regulations may limit the validity of your visa.
- The Consular Section cannot discuss why a particular case is subject to administrative processing and/or has been limited in validity.
