"Hot Rod" Legend, Bill Kirchen, Rocks Out With Music Students
Rockabilly legend, former bandmate of Commander Cody and originator of the genre known as "roots rock" Bill Kirchen brought his unique style of music to Jerusalem on Thursday, November 18, as part of the State Department's Performing Arts Initiative program. Kirchen and his band gave a hands-on workshop for almost 100 music students (ages 8-16) at the Yellow Submarine, a nonprofit music organization and one of Jerusalem's most popular live music venues.
