Errors on Printed Visas

It is YOUR responsibility to check the information printed on your visa upon its receipt to ensure accuracy of the data. Biographic information on the visa should match the information found on the passport’s biographic page. Mistakes on the visa will be corrected free of charge if you notify us before you use the visa for travel or, if you have no immediate travel plans, within one year of the visa’s issuance date.  After you have entered the United States on your visa or one year has passed without travel, you will need to apply for a new visa.

To notify us of errors, send an email to NIVTelaviv@state.gov with a scanned copy of the visa.
