Public Announcement Concerning IV Move

In an effort to improve efficiency and quality of customer service in all areas of visa services, the United States Government is consolidating all immigrant visa (IV) services presently offered at the Embassy of the United States in Tel Aviv with the IV services offered at the Consulate General of the United States in Jerusalem. 

Beginning April 1, all new IV cases (including family-based petitions and employment-based petitions scheduled by the National Visa Center – NVC – as well as Diversity Visa cases scheduled by the Kentucky Consular Center – KCC) will be scheduled and interviewed at the Consulate General in Jerusalem.  Applicants for these visas will receive appointment letters from NVC or KCC with further information regarding date, time and location of their appointments.

During the month of March, IV cases pending at the Embassy in Tel Aviv will be transferred to the Consulate General in Jerusalem.  If you were asked to provide additional documentation for your immigrant visa application by mail to the Embassy, please instead send that documentation to the Consulate in Jerusalem at the following address:

If you already sent in additional documentation in support of your application to the Embassy, it will be automatically forwarded along with your immigrant visa case to the American Consulate in Jerusalem.  Once that additional information is reviewed, your case will be processed to completion, or, if additional information is needed, you will be contacted directly by the IV Section at the Consulate General in Jerusalem.

הודעה בדבר העברת מחלקת ההגירה.

במאמץ לשפר ולייעל את איכות השירות לציבור בתחום הטיפול בויזות, ממשלת ארצות הברית מאחדת את שירותי ויזות ההגירה, הניתנים כעת בשגרירות ארה"ב בתל אביב עם שירותי ויזות ההגירה, הניתנים בקונסוליה הכללית בירושלים.

החל מ- 1 באפריל, כל בקשה לויזת הגירה (כולל בקשות הגירה על בסיס איחוד משפחות ובקשות על בסיס תעסוקתי שנקבעו על ידי המרכז הלאומי לויזות – NVC, וכן בקשות לויזות הגירה על בסיס הגרלה שנקבעות על ידי המרכז הקונסולרי בקנטאקי – KCC), יטופלו על ידי הקונסוליה הכללית בירושלים. מגישי בקשות לויזות הגירה יקבלו מכתבי הזמנה לראיונות מ- NVC או KCC, המפרטים מידע נוסף לגבי יום, שעה ומיקום הראיון.

במהלך חודש מרץ, בקשות לויזות הגירה, הנמצאות בטיפול שגרירות אמריקאית בתל אביב יועברו לקונסוליה הכללית בירושלים. אם התבקשתם להעביר באמצעות הדואר מסמכים נוספים עבור בקשתכם לויזת ההגירה לשגרירות בתל אביב, אנא שלחו מסמכים אלו ישירות לקונסוליה בירושלים לכתובת הבאה:

אם כבר שלחתם את המסמכים הנוספים לשגרירות בתל אביב, מסמכים אלו יועבר באופן אוטומטי יחד עם בקשתכם לויזת הגירה לקונסוליה בירושלים. לאחר בדיקת המסמכים, מחלקת ההגירה בקונסוליה בירושלים תודיע לכם על סיום הטיפול בתיק או על הצורך בהגשת מסמכים נוספים.
